Andrei Pavel

Andrei Pavel is in his 14th year on the ATP tour.  During his career his ranking has reached as high as #13 with singles wins over former #1 Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Andre Agassi, Patrick Rafter, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, Juan Carlos Ferrero and Carlos Moya.  To date he achieved a career high of #18 in doubles including a Semi-Finals loss to the Bryan Twins in the 2006 French Open.
 
Andrei won 3 career singles titles; including 1 Master Series Title in Montreal and 6 career doubles titles.  He has been nominated 5 times to represent his home country of Romania in the Olympics and he has participated in 4:  1992 Barcelona, 1996 Atlanta, 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens.  During his career Andrei has appeared in 62 Davis Cup matches and amassed a career Davis Cup record of 40 wins and 22 losses.  He currently is the Romanian Davis Cup Team Captain.

Nick Blackwood

Nick Blackwood is the President and Founder of Blackwood Management, LLC a management company specializing in event organization and consulting services for tennis professionals, clubs and organizations.  Nick has been a teaching professional for the past 17 years during which time he was the Director of Tennis for the Breakers West Country Club and the Junior Tennis Director for The Breakers, located in Palm Beach, FL. 

During his career he has earned a positive reputation for working with all levels of tennis players from young children to professionals.  Along with coaching individual juniors to successful collegiate careers and junior teams for the USTA Florida Section he has joined Andrei Pavel on tour part time since 1996. 

Kevin Darby

Kevin has been involved in structured strength and conditioning programs for over twenty years as a coach and athlete at the college, national and international levels. He has worked with professional and amateur athletes from a wide range of sports  including Tennis, Alpine Skiing, Volleyball, Olympic Weightlifting and Track and Field. 

Kevin brings a wide variety of training in complementary disciplines including nutrition, flexibility and lifestyle management.  He has worked as a soldier, firearms and tactics instructor, S.W.A.T. officer and researcher.  He has participated in research projects with Dr. Stuart McGill and Dr. Charles Samuels, both of whom are Olympic Team consultants focused on improving human performance through proper movement and fatigue management respectively. 

Kevin believes that assessment tools drive strength and conditioning protocols.  The first step is identifying and correcting imbalances, second is improving the qualities specific to the demands of the sport.  Throughout this process recovery through nutrition and sleep are key to ensure that the athlete is prepared to perform at the highest level when required. 

Kevin is certified through the NSCA, PICP – Level 3 Coach and Certified Flexibility Therapist – Level 1.
